There really is no other place we suggest staying than at 9 Station Hostel & Bar.
It’s minutes from the beach, bunks come with a privacy curtain and it’s impossible not to meet people during your time here.
“Whether you are in sweet dreams or chilling time, we offer the most tender and comfortable embrace.”

9 Station Hostel in Review
Come on then let’s get going, the Happy Hour drinks will be starting soon.
1. A Brilliant Natural & Modern Blend
Approach the front door of 9 Station Hostel and marvel at the greenery.
Step a foot inside the door and… marvel at the greenery!
Yep: no matter where you turn, you will see nature-led design.
From a huge tree trunk and wooden furniture in the chill space, to live plants growing up the wall and a lush, overgrown garden.
Alongside all of this fresh air, the spaces are quite minimalistic, avoiding too much clutter and plastic.

This beautiful blend of modern design makes spaces feel bigger and brighter – ideal for a big hostel such as this.
2. Designed with YOU in mind
As this is a big hostel, the team needed to design a building that would create a homely space for many types of travellers.
We reckon they’ve done a good job.
Shared spaces are multiple and offer a chance to get social and enjoy some time alone.
The privacy bunks provide the same experience, but in a room setting. We love that there are a number of different dorms, from smaller 4-bed to larger 12-bed options. Choose depending on how sociable you’re feeling!
Female solo travellers: opt for the 8-bed ladies only option.
Air-conditioning present in every room really helps with that Vietnamese humidity!
Other well-designed spaces include:
- Restaurant & bar
- Snack bar
- Sun terrace
- Garden w/ Pool & BBQ facilities
If you happen to be renting a car, there is even free public parking (reservation necessary).
Again, unfortunately, this hostel closed. Here you can find an updated list of all best hostels in Phu Quoc.
3. Private Boat Tour
For a real unique factor, 9 Station Hostel & Bar boasts its very own designated private boat tour!
Yep, that made our eyes PING when we first heard it, too.
Between November and April it’s possible to join a tour of the island which includes snorkeling, swimming, and fishing.
This boar tour takes you to see the small islands surrounding Phu Quoc Island.
The best part is because its private you’ll be joining fellow hostel friends. What better way to get to know them better?
Then when you return after a long day, look forward to a family 9 dinner.
4. Get Social: No need to go anywhere
Seriously, you really won’t need to go anywhere to have an amazing time in Phu Quoc.
9 Station Hostel has cleverly put together so many activities and great amenities, that you won’t want to step outside the door.
Fun events such as
- Pool parties,
- Beer pong tournaments and
- Free rein of a pool table & foosball
Make it easy to get the conversation rolling.
At the bar, you’ll soon see that a Happy Hour is running every day. In the lounge, there are large TVs showing all of your favourite sports.
It’s also possible to relax in the garden sunshine, chill by the pool and rustle up a BBQ.
That is, of course, if you aren’t tempted by the remarkable food on offer at the restaurant.
5. Staff
You’ll get to know the staff and learn to love them pretty quickly. They’re around at reception 24 hours a day, so make sure you give them a smile when you walk past!
Alongside family dinners, this team offer free laundry and computers for all guests.
And of course, the free Wi-Fi follows you throughout the building. It’s the small details that really make it, right?
Thumbs up team 9 Station Hostel.
