Antalya is home to the country’s highest number of national parks (it has four!) so make sure to check them out as they encompass a diverse landscape, from coastal paths to mountains, canyons, and caves.
As you know, the city is best known for its stunning beaches, but it also has a rich historical and cultural past as it belonged to various civilizations throughout history, from Romans and Greeks to Byzantines.
As such, we recommend checking out some of the many historical monuments throughout the city.
Antalyaâs most famous sight is the mysterious burning flames of Mount Chimaera. These flames burn 24 hours a day, every day, and their origin is still unknown.
Travelers and locals like to hike the area and stare in awe at this very weird phenomenon.

Quick Introduction to Antalya
Average price for a bed: Hostels in Antalya cost $11 â $25 per night for a bed in a dorm. A private room has an average price of $53 per night. This is a rough average, just to give you an idea.
Prices always depend on the season and holidays. Please always check the exact rates on Hostelz.com or Hostelworld.com.
Check-In and Check Out: The average check-in time is from 15:00 (3 pm), while the Check-Out time is before 11:00 (11 am). Hostels usually offer luggage storage in case you arrive earlier or leave later. Make sure you check if luggage storage is free or if there is an extra cost.
How to get around: Itâs helpful to note that although most tourists prefer to use taxis to reach nearby signs and attractions, most of these attractions are actually very accessible by buses, so maybe opt for public transportation instead.
If you canât figure out how it works, ask your Antalya hostel staff for some guidance!
If you end up opting for taxis, itâs best to set the price in advance. Drivers sometimes donât have counters in their cars and can even refuse to use a counter.
Budget tip: Bargaining is part of the local culture in markets, so always ask for a discount! We also recommend always having change on you, as some sellers can pretend they donât have the change to give you.
This isnât out of malice. Itâs just the way it is, so equip yourself accordingly!
Culture: If you make local friends, and youâre invited to their homes, always accept the food they give you! Especially if it comes from their parents or grandparents.
While it might be considered rude to accept food in some cultures, itâs considered rude to reject food in Turkey, especially if itâs tea, as itâs part of common courtesy.

1. Flaneur Hostel
Flaneur Hostel is one of the best hostels in Antalya that we have come across. It is located inside an old-city building which still has some of its original exposed brick walls.
The property has been renovated into a charming boutique hostel marked by earthy colors and a typically Turkish charm.
Travelers can pick from either a superior room or a bed in a dormitory. Each option will provide them with comfortable and very clean surroundings.
The bunk bed, in particular, has larger-than-normal mattresses and thick curtains that guarantee privacy and seclusion when needed.
Here, the atmosphere is very familiar, friendly, and laid-back. Guests love to use the lovely spacious garden with its beautiful large trees or people-watch from the vantage point of the rooftop terrace.
Youâll also find a shared kitchen that is well-equipped to cook a wide variety of meals.
Location: Centrally located hostel, a short walk from the city’s historical center, holds the majority of things to do in Antalya. Nearby popular points of interest include the Old City Marina, shops and markets, Hadrian’s Gate, and Antalya Clock Tower. There are many pubs, bars, and restaurants nearby as well.

2. Be Bold Hostel
Although Be Bold Hostel is located in the historic district of Antalya, it is designed following modern and very contemporary architecture. Smart and friendly minimalism reins within it, which gives off boutique-hostel vibes.
Travelers can pick from different room-style accommodations, from 4 to 6-people dorms to private rooms. We especially love their common areas:
- The kitchen is very clean, modern, and well-equipped
- A dedicated sitting area near the kitchen
- A wide and very peaceful backyard with seating areas and shade
- A small bar space
When it comes to social activities, they usually arenât scheduled and are more spontaneous, since this is a popular place with digital nomads.
Note that this is an adults-only hostel in Antalya, so it isnât suitable for families with kids.
Location: Central hostel in Antalya, 100 m from Kaleici, the historic city center. Nearby popular points of interest include Mermerli Beach, Hadrian’s Gate, and Clock Tower. This is one of the best-located hostels in Antalya, in an area where most locals and tourists mingle. The streets are rich with shopping, drinking, and eating opportunities, as well as public transportation stops.

3. Hostel Vague
We absolutely love the vibrant yet rustic interiors of Hostel Vague and the atmosphere of warmth that radiates within it.
Here, youâll feel so at home that youâll wonder if permanently moving there could be feasible. This is thanks to the staff and general ambiance, which promote familiar social interaction and a friendly communal environment.
Everyone seems open-hearted, and even usually closed-off travelers will see themselves warming up at ease.
The staffâs philosophy is that they ârespect everyone regardless of where they come from, what they believe, or how they identify their gender,’ and this attitude reverberates throughout the property.
Visitors can expect to eat at Turkish-style hours, which means that breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours arenât fixed. People eat when they want to – but usually choose to do so together.

Here, youâll have access to their kitchen and fridge, as well as any food they cook – you can also cook your meals and not share them with anyone. Again, they will show you warmth regardless of your own temperature.
As for activities, they are organized every day and include playing music together or going swimming together. Our favorite parts of the house are the beautiful gardens and roof terrace.
Location: A 9-minute walk from Mermerli beach and the old city. There is a large variety of bars, pubs, and restaurants around a 5 to 10-minute walk, as well as this is a very popular hotel and hostel area. Nearby points of interest include Karaalioglu Park, the scenic spot of Karaalioglu Parki Seyir Terasi, and the Hidirlik Tower.
