Quick Introduction to Coron
Average price for a bed: Hostels in Coron cost $5 – $11 per night for a bed in a dorm. A private room has an average of around $35 per night. This is a rough average, just to give you an idea. Prices always depend on the season and holidays. Please always check the exact rates on Hostelz.com or Hostelworld.com.
Check-In and Check-Out: The average check-in time is from 15:00 (3 pm), while the Check-Out time is before 11:00 (11 am). Hostels usually offer luggage storage in case you arrive earlier or leave later. Make sure you check if luggage storage is free or if there is an extra cost.
What is the best time to visit Coron: The Dry Season spans from October to mid-June, when the climate is hot and dry. The Rainy season runs from mid-June to September, with very short but very intense daily showers. June to October can also see their fair share of typhoons – but they rarely reach Coron. Although many people avoid the area during the rainy seasons, I’ve personally traveled there (in August), and the rain was so short-lived during the days that it didn’t really affect my travel plans (except for diving conditions).
How many days should you spend in Coron: A 3 or 4-day trip to Coron is enough to soak up the atmosphere perfectly and explore the stunning islands and beaches.

The environment is quite outgoing and chill, with most travelers socializing in all the shared spaces throughout the property. It’s very easy to meet new friends or travel companions here as there is a program to join almost every day of the week. There are also social games and outdoor activities organized daily. While we enjoyed the pool area, light sleepers will note that sometimes music is played quite loudly into the night.
Also, take into consideration that this Coron hostel is located on the top of a hill, so come prepared with adequate calves and thighs.
Location: Centrally located near the market and port of Coron. The foot of Mount Tapyas is also a 1 minute’s walkaway. Local restaurants and cafés surround the area, and the hostel is elevated on a hill, giving it a vantage point for stunning sunrise and sunset views.

We really like their rooftop infinity pool that treats guests to breathtaking views of Coron Bay and the surrounding islands—a paradise for relaxation. Our favorite facility is their rooftop/bar. This is where you’ll find the majority of travelers gathering at various hours throughout the day. The space is designed to promote people sitting together and socializing. Alcohol also helps. We really like the rustic designs and typographic murals throughout this Coron hostel; the place feels super homey and laid-back. If you’re a digital nomad, avoid this one, as the Wi-Fi is quite slow!
Or bring your own data – which is what most people do anyway.
Location: Close to the port in Coron, a bit out of town, but a 7-minute walk will bring you to the center of the livelier areas. There are plenty of bar and café options nearby.

The location is also a bit outside the central area, in a very local neighborhood, which contributes to a more relaxed pace of life. This one has terrible WI-FI, which is, unfortunately, a staple of many accommodations (and cafés) throughout the area.
If you’re a light sleeper, note that this Coron hostel is near a church whose worship music can get quite loud during the weekends.
Location: Close to town but in a quiet area near the community center. The property is an 18-minute walk from Dicanituan Beach and within walking distance of the foot of Mount Tapyas.
