2. Hostel Lao

Hostel Lao is a proper old school hostel that offers a wonderful balance of social, friendly vibes and that home-away-from-home feel.

This laidback feel spreads itself around the 9 unique rooms, into the communal meals and around the spacious social areas.

“We aim to be honest, sustainable, clean, independent, give the best possible service and rooms for a moderate price and maintain our sense of humour.”

Good to know: reception here is NOT open 24/7 – make sure you get your welcome email before arrival.

One of the lovely owners also runs her kitchen from the hostel.

One thing’s for sure: there is always a homebrew on tap, plus local wines to try.

However, if you are traveling on a shoe-string budget and you wanna save every penny, there are ways to find the cheapest places in Mendoza.

Party Hostels in Mendoza, Argentina

So, what is the best party hostel Mendoza has to offer? Honestly, it really depends on what kind of atmosphere you’re after.

There isn’t a crazy, up-all-night scene in the hostels here. Rather, there are social events and amenities that encourage putting the screen down and socialising.

This makes these ‘party’ hostels great for adults as well as the younger crowd.

Let’s have a closer look at 2 hostels we wanted to include here. Each offers a unique vibe.

Hostel Internacional Campo Base (upbeat, lively)

Ok, so Hostel Internacional Mendoza is the most ‘crazy’ party you’ll come across, though it’s still not unbearable.

There is a lot of fun to be had here thanks to the:

  • Bar & lounge
  • Organised parties
  • Empanada and wine nights

Each social space has bags of friendly atmosphere and everyone naturally gravitates together, especially after a good old family dinner.

There’s a mix of dorm rooms and private options which come with an en-suite.

Gorilla Hostel Mendoza (outdoor pool)

Gorilla Hostel is more like a big house, located in the heart of Mendoza.

The main draw of this place has to be the outdoor pool – open between November and May.

This is certainly more of a chilled vibe, with no organised parties or events. It’s more about having a nice time with new friends made easier with the great amenities.

Enjoy a communal kitchen, BBQ, Netflix and table tennis during the day.

In the evening you can go and explore the famous nightlife which is less than 200 metres by foot. Reception is always open so there is no curfew.
