Quick Introduction to Yerevan
Average price for a bed: Hostels in Yerevan cost 4⏠– 13⏠per night for a bed in a dorm. A private room starts from 19⏠up to 38⏠per night. This is a rough average just to give you an idea.
Prices always depend on season and holidays. Please always check exact rates on Hostelworld.com or Booking.com.
Check-In and Check Out: The average check-in time is from 15:00 (3pm), while the Check Out time is before 11:00 (11am). Hostels usually offer luggage storage in case you arrive earlier or leave later. Make sure you check if luggage storage is free or if there is an extra cost.
Party Hostels in Yerevan: are not really a thing, sorry! If youâre looking for a crazy party hostel, Yerevan might not be your destination. However, the city itself is full of bars, pubs and clubs to enjoy a good night out.
Want to do something unique and go on a 3000km walk?! The Transcaucasian Trail is currently being developed through Armenia and Georgia. It’s possible to walk a section and/or volunteer and help to create the route.

What about cheapest hostels in Yerevan?
Of course, there are always cheap hostels.
We think, itâs not worth it to go with the cheapest hostel out there.
Why?
The difference is usually 1-2⏠($1-2) per night, and a lot of amenities are not included. This can be breakfast or linen.
However, if you are traveling on a shoe-string budget and you wanna save every penny, there are ways to find the cheapest places in Yerevan.
- Open Hostelworld with full list of budget places to stay in Yerevan
- Order the listing by price
Simple as that.

CLOSED: Youth Hostel
Update: Our former #1 hostel has closed.
Only at our #1 hostel will you be welcomed with an authentic Yerevan hug by friendly, helpful staff.
Youth Hostel certainly offers excellent amenities at affordable prices. And the design is pretty cool, too!
We think the name is perfectly fitting to whatâs on offer here.
This place only offers shared rooms, no private options. Yet this doesnât mean there is any missing out to be had.
Thatâs because the 6 and 8-bed mixed dorms, as well as a 8-bed female dorm, are incredibly cosy and homely.
Each room has:
- Sturdy privacy bunks w/ curtain
- Under-bed storage
- Personal light, socket + linen
- Air conditioning
- Free Wi-fi
Thereâs even enough space in the rooms for comfy beanbags and a seating area in the window. Nice.
As for socialising? Enjoy the open-air space outside, and beanbag area by reception.
Grab a complimentary tea or coffee and mingle with new faces, or have a chat whilst you make dinner in the communal kitchen.
In case you have an urgent question, reception is at hand 24 hours a day. Donât forget your free hug!
Bonus: if youâre renting a car in Yerevan, youâll have free parking on-site.
We just had to include a picture of the breakfast on offer here. How amazing does that look, seriously?!
Location: to top it off, Youth Hostel is in a great location. Itâs in the heart of Yerevan, next to the two major universities. Republic Square is less than 5-minutes by foot. There are also nearby cafes and restaurants offering Armenian, Georgian and European food.
CLOSED: Hostel Bivouac
Update: Our former #2 hostel has permanently closed its doors.
Welcome to the most bustling and popular part of Yerevan, welcome to Hostel Bivouac.
Special focus has gone in to safety, comfort and privacy at this cosy hostel. Itâs a great option for groups, families and solo travellers.
Letâs jump straight in to the perks of this place:
- Free brekky & tea/coffee around the clock
- Lounge zone w/ TV & work space
- 24/7 reception
- Kitchen w/ outside terrace space
- CCTV throughout
Room types extend over three choices including a 6 and 10-bed mixed dorm and a family room sleeping up to 8 people.
Note: there are no private rooms here.
Look past the drab decor and youâll find lovely private spaces and all the bits you need for a comfortable stay.
Each dorm bed includes a curtain, socket, light and little shelf.
In each room there is a table and seating area if you prefer to socialise and not hide behind the curtain.
Hostel Bivouac definitely has a homely feel to it and is a great space to wind down and relax.
Location: situated on popular Parpetsi Street, youâll be surrounded by bustling nightlife, dining and shopping opportunities. All of the top sights of Yerevan are within walking distance.
